Every fair, disco and quiz night adds something to a child's time at St Peter's.
We're the parents, carers and staff who run the events you love: the Christmas Fair, the Summer Fair, movie nights, wreath making and more. Every penny raised goes back into the school, funding equipment, trips, retreats and experiences the budget alone can't stretch to.
Money raised at our events goes straight back to the pupils
St Peter's has an excellent finance team, but like most schools the budget doesn't always stretch as far as everyone would like. That's where the PTA comes in. In 2025-26 we gave £11,724.03 in direct school support, as reported to the Charity Commission. Every line of it is below.
Residential trips within reach
Travel subsidies for the Year 5, 7, 9 and 10 residentials, so the cost of the coach never decides who gets to go.
A piano for the school
An instrument for assemblies, performances and music lessons that will serve pupils for decades.
Mock bar
An enterprise and careers resource giving older pupils hands-on hospitality experience.
Classroom carpet
New carpet so classroom time starts comfortable, warm and ready to learn.
Reading pens & Yoto players
Reading pens (£266.00) and Yoto audio players (£331.26): tools that make reading accessible to every child.
Clubs & school life
Art Club materials (£372.15), Gardening Club (£113.77), leavers' hoodies support (£94.50) and school flags (£62.18).

What we raised and gave back in 2025-26
You don't need to join a committee to make a difference
Some of our volunteers give an hour a year on a stall; some help run whole events. Both matter. If you can wrap a book prize, sell tokens at pick-up, pour a tea at Stay & Play or shake a bucket at the Samba band, you're PTA material.
We meet roughly once per half term, usually on a Monday evening for about an hour, and everyone is welcome: parents, carers and staff alike.
