An honest note on the numbers: our events raised around £14,900 this year, and after event running costs, our support to the school exceeded what the year's fundraising alone covered; the difference came from reserves built up in previous years. That was a deliberate choice to say yes to things like residential travel subsidies and the piano, but it isn't repeatable every year. Going forward the committee is tightening how funding bids are assessed and putting more emphasis on low-cost fundraising and matched giving, so support stays sustainable.
