St Peter's PTA wants everyone in our community to be able to use this website, whatever technology they browse with.
What we've done
This site is built with plain, semantic HTML and aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. In practice that means:
Keyboard and screen readers
Every page can be navigated by keyboard alone, links have visible focus outlines, images carry descriptive alternative text, and pages use proper heading structure and landmarks.
Readability
Text and background colours meet contrast requirements, text can be zoomed to 200% without breaking the layout, and the site works on mobile, tablet and desktop.
Motion and simplicity
The site respects your device's "reduce motion" setting, uses no autoplaying media, and requires no JavaScript to read any content.
Plain language
We try to write in plain English and keep pages short. Dates, prices and contact routes are stated directly rather than buried in documents.
