AGM 2026: a strong year given back, and a sharper plan ahead.
Our Annual General Meeting took place on Monday 14 September. Here's what every parent should know: the committee for the year, what last year delivered, and what changes.

A warm thank-you to Amy Alderson, who steps down as Vice Chair after years of energy and organisation behind our biggest events. The new Vice Chair and Vice Secretary roles continue our approach of shadowing and sharing responsibilities so the PTA never depends on any one person.
2025-26: what we raised and gave
The full itemised list is on our Where the Money Went page. Support this year was deliberately generous and drew on reserves from previous years, so a theme of the AGM was sustainability: tighter criteria for funding bids, better cost control at events, and a bigger push on donations and matched giving.

What changes this year
Christmas Fair is the priority
Thursday 10 December is confirmed as the main fundraising event of the term: inflatables, Father Christmas, raffle, competitions, and new ideas including a photography competition, a St Peter's Bake Off and "Snow King and Queen" to open the fair.
Two events won't run this term
The December Movie Night and the Christmas disco won't go ahead this year: the effort and staffing they need wasn't matched by what they raise. Discos return later in the year, with a Valentine's event and a May half-term date under discussion.
Smarter fundraising
More low-cost, high-fun fundraisers: themed non-uniform days, crazy hair days, competitions, and closer tracking of what each stall and event actually generates, so volunteer time goes where it counts.
DBS checks for event volunteers
In line with the school's updated safeguarding policies, volunteers at events will need DBS checks. If you're planning to help at the Christmas Fair, get in touch early so there's time to arrange it.
